Vinten Vision blueBridge wins Digital Video Award

VINTEN’S VISION BLUEBRIDGE HONOURED WITH DIGITAL VIDEO AWARD

24/05/2013

Vinten® has received a prestigious Digital Video (DV) magazine Best of Show Black Diamond Award from this year’s NAB2013 show for its new Vision bluebridge accessory.

The DV Black Diamond Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the advancement of video technology and the blueBridge was identified as a worthy winner. This year’s Best of Show accolades were awarded by a select judging panel of engineers, editors, and production and post professionals who joined forces with the magazine staff.

Vinten’s Vision blueBridge, which made its debut to the US market at the NAB2013 event, is designed to work with any of the pan and tilt heads in the Vision blue range to extend the payloads which can be perfectly balanced.

The new camera accessory offers the ultimate flexibility to camera operators whether using the original Vision blue, the recently launched Vision blue3, or the Vision blue5 fluid pan and tilt heads. The Vision blueBridge works by shifting the payload range down and gives users a cost effective option by extending the payload capabilities of their chosen Vision blue system.

Andrew Butler, Senior Product Manager, Vinten, said: “We are delighted that the blueBridge has been recognised as a ‘Best of Show’ product. It’s a simple accessory that makes sound financial sense to today’s cost conscious professionals as it means Vision blue operators can effectively use only one tripod system for their shoots.”

With the Vision blueBridge, the Vision blue family of three next generation head and tripod systems can provide perfect balance for payloads as low as 1.5kg/3,6lbs, to suit the lightest of camcorders and DSLRs, right up to 12kg/26.5lb for the larger professional cameras.

The winners of the 2013 Black Diamond Awards will be featured in the June 2013 issue of Digital Video magazine, as well as online at www.creativeplanetnetwork.com/dv.
