The Show 2002, sponsored by Lattice Group plc for a second year, is the must-see exhibition for art and design stars of the future.
The Royal College of Art is the only wholly postgraduate university of art and design in the world, giving students two years of artistic and creative freedom and pre-professional education, before they enter the worlds of art, design and communications.
Vinten's involvement came through Student Lindsay Powell (MA Communication of Art and Design), who has been studying the media and the publics perceptions of issues brought to their attention via the news.

Lindsay developed a series of questionnaires based on three commonly reported types of news stories devised to challenge the viewer's relationship with television news highlighting its formulaic and ultimately repetitive format, suggesting that it is constructed in the same fashion as any other genre of broadcast entertainment.
Lindsay chose to display her observations with the use of an AUTOSCRIPT mounted on a Vinten Head and tripod - a very intuitive medium, simulating the method by which we as the public receive 'News' from the newsreader.
Vinten were proud to be incorporated into such an intuitive piece of artwork and wish Lindsay every success with her future career.
