As part of the end of service programme, a registration system is now in place for Fulmar, Teal and Hawk pedestals.
Fulmar, Teal and Hawk pedestals have been in the market since 1973, 1982 and 1984 respectively and continue to provide exceptional service wherever they are found. Their sustained reliability is due to robust design and precision build quality as well as the work of your service teams, backed up by our global service centres. The Vinten philosophy is to support products for at least ten years after series production has ceased and in the case of these three pedestals this period has already been extended. We now find ourselves unable to sustain this level of support as standard components become obsolete and Vinten designed components become uneconomic to produce in small volumes.
There are some essential and immediate changes to our level of service support for the Fulmar, Teal and Hawk pedestals only:
- To enable us to focus our efforts on operational pedestals, we require that you register your Fulmar, Teal or Hawk pedestal with our service team by clicking here as soon as possible.
- To optimise stocks and maintain prompt response time spare parts will no longer be available outside the Vinten Service Centres. For registered pedestals, we will endeavour to provide spare parts and carry out an effective repair for all three pedestals. However, stocks are limited and we cannot guarantee future availability. Please read the important information about supply of parts before registering your product. Stocks of some major parts and many smaller components are now completely unavailable; please contact your local Service Centre for more details.
- Repairs can only be carried out by a Vinten Authorised Service Centre. This is to ensure all routine servicing and repairs are carried out with safety and optimal performance as a priority.
- Support for all three pedestals will cease completely at the end of 2014.
