Viborg Mediaschool, one of the leading specialist colleges in Denmark, has updated its shooting kits with new Vision 10AS pan and tilt heads from Vinten, a Vitec Group brand and global leader in camera supports. The order was won by Hofmann Teknik, the Vinten distributor in Denmark.

Located near Aarhus, the second city in Denmark, the Viborg Mediaschool offers practical opportunities of professional standards to its students, both in the college’s own studios and on location. It has long been a user of Vinten heads, and the new Vision 10AS heads replace original Vinten Vision 10 heads at the end of a long life. Vinten launched the Vision AS range at NAB earlier this year, to bring the highest technical performance to every user.

“We met with staff from the school at IBC this year and showed them the new Vision AS family of heads,” said Peter Hofmann of Hofmann Teknik. “They particularly appreciated the way that the Vision 10AS head puts all of Vinten’s professional functionality, including perfect balance, into a light and practical form for lightweight modern camcorders, and placed their order there and then.”

Perfect balance is Vinten’s unique technology to ensure that, whatever the tilt angle, the camera will remain precisely in position. On the Vision AS family of heads, which are designed for payloads between 2kg and 14kg, the fast and intuitive counterbalance mechanism means that perfect balance can be quickly set up, and adjusted as additional loads such as lights or prompters are added.
