We are pleased to announce that the new Vector 430 and Vector 750i, which made their debut at IBC2010, have won the “Best of IBC2010” editors’ award from TVB Europe and The IBC Daily magazines. The accolade honours the most innovative and intelligent product introductions at Europe’s biggest show for broadcast and media professionals.
The editorial teams of TVB Europe and IBC Daily collaborated at the recent IBC2010 convention to choose the strongest designs and winning products. Fergal Ringrose, editor of the two publications, said: “Our team has a unique insight into the IBC exhibitor community as we contact every one of them in our efforts to cover the show. For these awards, we picked the most innovative, cleverest new products at the world’s electronic marketplace. We were especially looking for new products that clearly show the potential to make money, or save money for end users”.
The award is testament to the high quality, cost-effective Vector 430 and Vector 750i designs, which were unveiled for the first time at IBC2010. It is the second accolade for the new Vector 430, which also won TV Technology Europe’s “STAR” award at the convention, for its ‘preeminent technological innovation’.
The Vector 430 was developed in collaboration with leading global customers to bridge the gap between the Vision and Vector ranges, it is ideal for the growing number of applications that use both the compact box lens and large EFP barrel lenses.
This unique and lightweight pan and tilt head incorporates Vinten’s innovative Perfect Balance technology - into a previously unattainable compact package - whilst boasting an extremely large capacity range of 10 - 43 kg [22 - 94.8 lbs]. This means that the Vector 430 provides a single choice for camera operators in the studio or out on the field, when two heads may have previously been required.
The Vector 750i, one of Vinten’s flagship products, is the company’s first encoded pantographic head and is the coded version of the popular Vector 750. The design maintains all of the market leading functionality of the Vector 750 and gives unsurpassed precision in virtual reality environments, for both outside broadcast and studio applications. The Vector 750i pan and tilt head incorporates a new Intelligence Module to ensure stable and accurate placement of virtual graphics into the live environment.
“This outstanding recognition is a fitting tribute to the continuing success of the Vinten brand and its employees as we celebrate our 100th anniversary,” said Peter Harman, Vinten product manager. “These two new Vector heads have been developed to meet real user requirements and to give them the operational flexibility they need in the studio or out on the field. We will continue to work closely with our customers to help solve the issues they face daily and meet the level of functionality they really need to succeed.”
