VINTEN VECTOR 750 WINS PRESTIGIOUS TV TECHNOLOGY STAR AWARD AT NAB 2008

14/04/2008

TV Technology Magazine has awarded the coveted STAR Award to the Vinten Vector 750 system at this years NAB exhibition.

The NAB Show, held in Las Vegas, USA, is the largest event for the latest technologies in all professional media industries. Vinten, a Vitec Group brand, created the head by enhancing the functionality and durability of the existing Vector 700 Standard and “H” versions of the head, combined with the best pantograph technology to create the new system that promotes the joint advantages of both designs.

The new head incorporates a groundbreaking counterbalance mechanism that eliminates the need for springs and cams. A system of mechanical linkages balances cameras with unlimited centre-of-gravity (COG) points, making adjustment simple and camera configuration less time-consuming.

The new head retains the Vector 700’s smooth operation in pan and tilt movements as well as Vinten’s renowned infinite adjustability for both the balance and drag systems.

In addition to the existing COG range span of 80mm-250mm found on both Vector 700 versions, the 750 has an increased maximum weight capacity of 75kg, allowing for the use of more camera accessories. The inclusion of some additional robust internal components makes the Vector 750 even more durable.

The Vector 750 head provides a new and improved ergonomic slide plate mechanism, and includes higher output drag modules that generate an increased available friction range for excellent control of heavier payloads. Also available is an optional side-mounted monitor bracket to accommodate mounting viewfinders on the side of the head.
