Vinten are the World leaders in the design and manufacture of Camera Supports for professional video, television and broadcasting and they continue to utilise their customer-focused design experience to develop a product range to meet the challenges and demands faced by producers and camera operators today. Vinten can provide a solution for any application, using one or a combination of their manual, robotic and virtual reality products.
The lightweight Vision 3 system has been highly successful. Introduced in June 2000 it has proved increasingly popular amongst those working in professional video and ENG applications. The trend within the industry to move to smaller, more cost-effective systems has meant that the Vision 3 together with the Vision 6 and Vision 8 have become much sought-after.
The Vision 3 system in particular has received some great feedback:
"We use Our Vision 3 to support a Sony DSR-300, which we’ve used to shoot several industrial pieces, as well as three commercials.
We’ve also used it on the first couple of shoots for an independent feature being shot on DV. We were amazed at how well the Vinten Vision 3 tripod handles our lighter cameras. The tripod is incredibly smooth – especially given its ultra light weight".
Tim Walton, Operations manager
The Moving Picture Co, California
"...would definitely recommend this system to others, it is hands-down the best system out there for the money"
Kitty Walton, The Moving Picture Co, California
The Vision range also includes the 11, 100 and 250, designed for the latest portable digital cameras used in Studio and Outside Broadcast production today.
These pan and tilt heads create great systems when combined or the new positive locking "Pozi-Loc" tripods . This new design combines an innovative clamping system with new advances in manufacturing technology. Pozi-Loc requires low effort with a 90° turn from on to off, providing the user with a clear indication that the tripod is securely locked. This tripod range, together with Torque-Safe and lightweight pedestals, will be available for you to experience at video forum.
Vinten are also pleased to be launching a new mid level spreader - "Spread-Loc" - a revolutionary new design that is proving to be 'the' spreader for all applications. Its unique deployment system allows easier set up and a smaller tripod footprint than ever before. The Spread-Loc is fully adjustable, controlled by a single lock knob and the arms are individually extendable to provide a large spreader radius and facilitate use on uneven ground.
A user comments:
"Spread-Loc gives great control to the deployment of the tripod and an infinite choice of operating positions"
Gerry Williams, Cameraman,
Soon to be available, Vinten have developed the Vision HD250 - a new pan and tilt head for film and high definition cameras. The HD250 has been specifically designed to meet the exacting demands of camera operators working with high definition and film cameras. HD and film operating techniques can be extremely complex, as wide screen framing, precise focusing and accurate shot positioning require total camera control. This head offers many unique features to assist accurate and repeatable camera movements. The exceptional Thin Film (TF) calibrated drag system provides a "dial in" adjustment enabling precise and repeatable drag settings, critical for HD and film production. The TF drag has the added advantage of operating in extreme temperatures providing consistent and exceptionally smooth movement.
Representing the AutoCam robotics range will be the AutoCam HS-102P and Multi-Controller II. The HS-102P is a lightweight servo pan & tilt head combining sophisticated engineering together with low cost and versatility. Its small profile design is based on providing unobtrusive video coverage for use in parliaments, conference centres, and TV stations where "high shots" may be required. The Multi-controller II is a mid-range addition to the AutoCam high performance automation systems and it will be used to control this single head, although it can control up to six heads. It can store up to 100 head and lens shot positions for each camera at any one time (totalling 600). The multi-controller II allows the new shot to be recalled and re-positioned to the selected camera location in a smooth and co-ordinated movement with all axes arriving at the same time.
Vinten will also be showing a full range of Anton/Bauer Batteries. All over the world professional videographers have come to know and trust the battery technology pioneered by Anton/Bauer. From the first one piece video camera to the latest in digital video an high definition, Anton/Bauer innovations have kept the industry at the cutting edge of power solutions.
So, come along to Stand 426 between the 5th and 7th of February, where we look forward to discussing your individual creative requirements and demonstrating our products to you personally.
