JL FISHER AND VINTEN ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT

05/01/2001

JL Fisher, Inc., of Burbank, California, has entered into an exclusive, multiyear distribution agreement with Vinten in the USA to lease and rent, via JL Fisher’s extensive dealer network, Vinten Quattro pedestals and Vector 700 pan and tilt heads throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

JL Fisher and Vinten have received Emmy and/or Academy of Motion Picture Scientific and Technical Achievement Awards. These awards are given for innovation and excellence. JL Fisher has consistently set the standards for the reliability and performance of camera dollies, microphone booms, bases and accessories in the motion picture and television industries. Likewise, Vinten has long set the standards for the camera pedestal and pan and tilt heads used in the broadcasting and video production industries. Both companies have reputations for engineering excellence and customer service and they are expected to make an extremely strong partnership. Their intention is to create a unique technological bridge that will aid users in the ongoing merger of the film, HD and video production worlds. Vinten will work closely with JL Fisher to see how the HDTV market evolves and together they will adapt their product features to suit the new techniques which may be required in the future.

This is a powerful combination of two great companies with excellent pedigree in design engineering who understand the importance of quality, camera movement and precise camera control.
