The Spread-Loc mid level spreader is a revolutionary new design from Vinten that is proving to be ‘the’ spreader for all applications. Its unique deployment system allows easier set up and a smaller tripod footprint than ever before.
The Spread-Loc is a fully adjustable, geared mid-level spreader, controlled by a single lock knob. In addition, the arms are individually extendable to provide a large spreader radius and facilitate use on uneven ground. When talking with users they mentioned that they often found themselves ‘resting their feet’ on the spreader so the design team have incorporated an overload mechanism to prevent damage if such downward pressure is placed on the spreader.
Fast and easy set up can be achieved with the spreader arms individual extension locks. The spreader arms are geared together to simplify the tripod set up and break down with all components designed to create an incredibly ergonomic product. The intuative attachment brackets, connecting the spreader to its tripod is not only very simple – with the push of a button – but also creates a very strong and rigid connection.
With individually deployable arms, Spread-Loc gives an unlimited choice of tripod set-up options and is therefore highly functional in unusual and restricted spaces such as staircases and church pulpits. The small tripod footprint also increases the tripod height allowing unique high shot coverage.

Constructed of stainless steel and composite materials, Spread-Loc offers high strength and resistance to corrosion. The new ergonomic design of each operational component offers positive functionality, resulting in a spreader that is very robust and easy to maintain.
A new safety feature prevents damage if the operator folds the spreader while its arms are still positioned at different lengths. The spreader arm locks are bi-directional, preventing the legs from collapsing if accidentally hit or during rapid repositioning. However should the shoulder of the spreader arm be stood on, used for tie down or weighted, each arm can be individually dislocated to avoid breakage.
